Some 27 people attended the dinner weekend. Weather was perfect. George brought trestles he had made for the 3 tables. They were put into use for the dinner. Gerry brought the donkey he had purchased for the Club and which he had embellished. It was fired up and provided hot water for the weekend. Ian and Wendy conducted the raffle, in aid of the RFDS, during Happy Hour on Saturday evening. Several prizes had been donated by members. $147 was raised. Dinner on Saturday night commenced with Bacon and Sweet Potato Soup. The recipe is on page 14 of this Traction. The main course consisted of roasts of beef, lamb and pork accompanied by roast potatoes, pumpkin, onion and peas and beans and gravy. Dessert was a fruit pudding and custard. The meal was excellent. Entertainment for the night was a quiz conducted by Lyn and Frank. We formed into tables of 6 and there was fierce competition between the Chocolate Drops, Four Amigos, Foreplays and Bazza. The Chocolate Drops won by a slim margin. Breakfast on Sunday was eggs and bacon. Greg Young
